A lovely town in the fertile plain, by the River Timia.The walled city has origins deep in ancient Umbrian history. During June the traditional medieval event takes place 'Mercato delle Gaite', at this time the oldest streets and alleyways are strewn with hay and decked out with various taverns, market stalls, theatres, potters, dyers and blacksmiths. Completing the scene traditional period costumes are worn by the locals.
