Porta Fiorentina, Panicale, Umbria

While Panicaloe was likely inhabited since Etruscan times, it was a medieval caslte bulit on the peak of a hill that formed the city into what you see today. the towns narrow roads, form concentric ovals, around the Piazza Podesta at the the hills peak as a defense measure when they were built.
